His
Story

Jordan Wei is a pianist, composer, arranger, author and educator, and is no stranger to the music scene in Singapore. His musical lineage includes renowned violinist Goh Soon Tioe as his grandfather; composer Tonni Wei and Straits Times columnist and music reviewer Patricia Goh as his parents; and Cultural Medallion recipient Vivien Goh as his aunt.

 

Since graduating from Middlesex University in London with a Masters in Jazz Composition and Performance, Jordan has established himself as one of the region’s most sought after and versatile pianists. He has worked with many artistes both locally and internationally. These include the likes of Aisyah Aziz, Amei, Benjamin Kheng, Dami Im, Dasha Logan, David Tao, Elva Hsiao, Femi Temowo, Grady Guan, Jaclyn Victor, Jam Hsiao, JJ Lin, Joanna Dong, Lari Basilio, Liu Jia Chang, Louis Cheng, Louis Soliano, Nicholas Tse, Pets Tseng, Sezairi Sezali, Sharon Kwan, Sulene Fleming, Syarif, Takayoshi Ohmura, Taufik Batisah and Wang Lee Hom, amongst many others.

The World
of Music

In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, Jordan has also composed and arranged for various local entities such as Jazz Association Singapore (JASS), Nanyang Junior College, National Technological University, SAF Central Band, Singapore Management University, Summertimes Big Band, The Pipa Quartet and The TENG Ensemble. He produces music scores for regional productions and concerts such as Sing! China, SPOP, Amei, Angela Chang, Karen Mok, Li Rong Hao and more.

 

Jordan’s fresh and engaging musical style has led him to work with some of the top arrangers in the industry such as Goh Kheng Long, Martin Tang, Terence Teo, Kenn C and George Leong. His most notable and recent work; a re-arrangement of Amei’s “Lonely Tequila”; was featured in Amei’s ASMeiR 2022-2025 Concert World Tour and received widespread acclaim amongst Amei’s fans.




In 2018, he authored a jazz piano book “Finger Tips”, and launched it together with Jazz Ninja, an online learning music resource centre. Jordan is currently the head of the contemporary faculty at Singapore Raffles Music College and is both performing and teaching internationally.
